2026-07 - Reminder re: 2026 Social Event at Bucklers Hard in the New Forest

Reminder – 2026 Social Event at Bucklers Hard in the New Forest, Hampshire.

We have already received a good number of bookings, so we are expecting a very good turnout of members to attend this event on 16th and 17th September 2026. For those of you who don’t know, Bucklers Hard is a unique ‘Historic Riverside Village’ on the edge of the Beaulieu River dating back to the 13th century, where some of the ships for Nelson’s fleet were built and is a fascinating place to visit. Bucklers Hard and Beaulieu have also recently been featured on a BBC programme Villages by the Sea. Our Reunion Dinner will be held on Wednesday 16th September with a full day of optional activities planned for the following day.

This is to remind anyone who has not yet booked and may be still be thinking about attending, that the hotel are currently holding a number of substantially discounted bedrooms for our group in the Henry Adam’s Wing, at £150.00 per night, including breakfast. This discount is only available until 13th of March; after this date, the remaining rooms will be released and go on sale to the general public.

Accommodation is otherwise very limited in the area, so we would strongly recommend that you return your booking form to us as soon as possible and book your accommodation directly with the hotel (Phone 01590 616253), stating that you are part of WA group to get the discount.

If you are unable to download or open the Word version firstly look in your Junk folder in case the Notice has been diverted there by you emailer and then in your Downloads folder in case when downloading your browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox etc) is set to Save the document there.
