WA 2020 AGM - Urgent Call to Members

Dear Members, (Email address spelling in final paragraph corrected - thank you Hawkeyes Alex Lang and Gavin Weir - my bad day at the office!).

As  previously announced we will be using the Zoom online video function as our means of communication and venue to conduct the 2020 Annual General Meeting in safety. The meeting will be at 18.00 on Thursday 12th November and we would very much welcome your 'attendance'. Please download the agenda via this link WA 2020 AGM Agenda.

Our Constitution states that to achieve a quorum at the AGM there must be at least 6 'non-Executive Committee' members. Following earlier Notices on this subject, at present we are only just at that threshold of being able to conduct the necessary business at the AGM and consequently we need more members ideally to attend 'virtually' or if not in attendance, at the least to register their proxy vote. In particular we need to get the revised Constitution agreed and talk about the UK Christmas Lunch.

If you have not yet notified your attendance but would like now to do so please inform Chris Clarke (wawebmast@warsashassociation.net) as soon as possible, who will provide you with the Zoom meeting ID and Log-in password. Chris will be holding a trial session on Thursday 15th October at 1000 hrs (successfully completed) to ensure all attendees are familiar with Zoom functions and to avoid any disruption at the AGM on 12th November.

We are not necessarily asking members to attend the virtual meeting if they do not want to but if not attending we would ask you to provide your proxy vote to the Chairman. Anyone wishing to do this should nominate the Chairman as their proxy for all voting requirements and should advise me accordingly via (wawebmast@warsashassociation.net).

Yours sincerely,  David Patterson (PattersonD64) - WA Secretary
