Notice 2019/30 - Sat. 26 Oct. 2019 - Remembrance Ceremony at Warsash 10 Nov REMINDER

Dear Members, (well done those members who spotted yesterday that it should have read 10 November not October, and thank you all others who were to polite to mention it!)

You will be pleased to hear that the original Roll of Honour in remembrance of the thirteen School of Navigation Cadets who lost their lives in WWII has been re-sited into St Mary’s Church, Hook with Warsash (where we used to parade every Sunday if you were CofE).

The Roll of Honour will be re-dedicated and I shall be laying a wreath on behalf of the Warsash Association on Sunday 10th November. I would be delighted if as many of you as possible could join me. I suggest that we assemble latest at 1045 at the Church for the Service which will start sometime after 1100. There will be an act of remembrance at the War Memorial in Warsash at 1100 but I do not intend attending or joining the march to the Church.

Please let me know if you wish to attend the Service and I will pass on the final number to the Church Wardens as they will try to keep a pew reserved for us (subject to numbers).

Further information to follow as necessary.

Kind regards,

Roger Holt, Chairman (roger.holt@holtmaritime.co.uk  Ph: 01932 347418)
