Bob passed away suddenly on 26th May 2006 whilst he was organising a reunion at his house on the Isle of Wight of crew members of "Moyana". He was one of the cadets who took part in the first Tall Ships Race and was rescued by the Clan Maclean on their return voyage. He had hoped that a number of other cadets of that vintage would join him and his wife (Faith) at their house to reminisce about this momentous occasion which took place 50 years ago.

Bob had attended the Association's AGM on 29th March and took a lively part in the discussions. Our thoughts and condolences go to Faith and the family at this time.
