  • Please note I'm off-line 12-14 May this week (golf, WMA tour and sailing with other 59ers).

WA Recruitment

  1. Our recruiting campaign lead by Jim MacIntyre is a great success story.
  2. Since December 2008 membership has expanded worldwide by over 60% to nearly 360.
  3. Recruiting team members e.g. Ray Briskham, John Clark, Alan Jordan (Shanghai), Neil Martin (Aus), Darrell Daish (NZ) are busy tracing "long-lost" former colleagues.
  4. Many others around the world are also helping (for simplicity not named - but not forgotten either!).
  5. You can display another 3,600 possible new members' names (from original Cadet Entry Lists) from the website database.
  6. The potential for further expansion is HUGE.

Where to now?

  1. We now have many more clues to follow up so we need more Researchers (given additional website access privileges).
  2. We need a lot more help in the UK where the majority of potential new members probably live.
  3. Research via the Internet means anyone, anywhere can lend a hand and be effective (Alan Jordan in Shanghai has recruited many members).

What to do next

  1. If you can spare a little or a lot of time you'll find membership research intriguing and very rewarding.
  2. The website recruitment bulletin on 7th March 2010 provides guidance and tips about tracing new members.
  3. Read the recruitment bulletin and if interested let Jim MacIntyre know (he will co-ordinate your efforts).
  4. THEN GET STUCK IN!
Good luck and I wish you every success.

Kind regards,

Chris Clarke (1959)
