Website login failure

This brief bulletin explains a problem with the website on the 14th September which unfortunately prevented some members from logging in, perhaps for a few hours. The cause was a software upgrade by our website's host computer company which was incompatible with our website software. Once reported Peter Longden, standing in for me in my abscence, contacted our second-line support at ocProducts (i.e. proper techies) who quickly resolved the problem. The whole set up has been extremely stable since going live in July 2009 so this first such failure was particularly unfortunate.

I do apologise and hope you were not to incovenienced.

What to do if a website link doesn't work ………………..?

Sometimes a website link may be broken accidently or another website ours has a link to may have been moved or closed down. If you click on such a link it will present an error message like the one below.

The website has reported a few such messages recently. If this happens please make sure email me here >> wawebmast@warsashassociation.net and tell me which link you used and on which page of the website it was so I can investigate the problem.
